O Haseena Zulfon Wali: Teesri Manzil (1966)

Teesri Manzil (1966) is a movie by Vijay Anand starring Shammi Kapoor, Asha Parekh, Prem Chopra, Helen, Ram Avtar, Prem Nath and others. Between his well known works Guide and Jewel Thief with his brother Dev Anand, Vijay Anand (known as Goldie Anand) turned this pop thriller, one of the most successful movies of all times. The 1960s with bouffant hair, cat's-eye makeup, Rock'n'Roll :)

The young woman Rupa has fallen from the third floor of a building and died. The police suppose that it was a suicide. Sunita (Asha Parekh) believes that her sister Rupa was driven to suicide due to betrayal from her lover, a musician named Rocky. She travels to Mussoorie with her college hockey team, but her motives are to find the truth about and to take revenge of her sister's death. On the way she meets the meddlesome Anil Kumar Sona (Shammi Kapoor), who uses all possible tricks to conquer her heart. Is he Rocky?

The outstanding soundtrack of the movie is by R.D. Burman. The lyrics are by the poet Majrooh Sultanpuri.
'O Haseena Zulfon Wali' has a nice picturisation. The song is sung by Mohd Rafi and Asha Bhosle.
